Karla Deacon, LIMHP, LADC
While earning her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at the University of Nebraska Omaha, Karla Deacon, LIMHP, LADC, completed her drug and alcohol treatment therapy internship at OneWorld. Several years after graduating, Deacon officially joined the behavioral health team to combine her counseling knowledge and her Spanish-speaking abilities.
“OneWorld has services such as social work and behavioral health under one roof, so when a patient needs help, we get them that help in the moment. That is what support looks like.”
As a dually licensed therapist, Deacon enjoys working with many populations, including patients at the women’s health clinic and participants of the Advanced Integrative Mental Health Services program. Before joining OneWorld, Deacon worked at an outpatient drug and alcohol treatment facility.
When she is not working, Deacon enjoys spending time with her sisters, caring for her three dogs, cooking and watching movies with her husband.
