An inside look
OneWorld spotlight
Genevieve Sanchez-Hidalgo, LIMHP, has nine years of experience in the mental health field. She initially joined OneWorld in 2017, and became the Associate Director of Behavioral Health in 2020.
Sanchez-Hidalgo attended the University of Nebraska – Lincoln for her bachelor’s in psychology and earned her master’s in clinical psychology from the Institute of Psychological Sciences.
Before OneWorld, Sanchez-Hidalgo provided mental health therapy for children and families in Dubuque, Iowa, and provided mental health and substance use individual and group therapy for adults in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
“I joined OneWorld because I was inspired by the integrated care model. I love that we have behavioral health services available in a primary care setting. Primary care offices are the frontlines of health care and I firmly believe that we need mental health professionals available to serve patients alongside the medical staff.”
In her free time, Sanchez-Hidalgo spends time with her husband and four children. They enjoy spending time outside, going to the zoo and volunteering at their church.
Sanchez-Hidalgo primarily works at the OneWorld Northwest Clinic. She is one of the Collaborative Care program therapists, and also oversees several therapists and helps with quality improvement in behavioral health services as the Associate Director of Behavioral Health.
