OneWorld Spotlight: Daniel Aranda-Fregoso

Physician Assistant Daniel Aranda-Fregoso, PA-C, joined OneWorld in 2023, having earned degrees that set him up on his professional journey – and having first worked in the health care field as a college student.

For Daniel, working in a community health center is personal. He said he joined OneWorld because he sees his family in his patients.

“I grew up going to clinics like OneWorld and hope to be able to give back to our community in this way,” he said.

Daniel earned his bachelor’s degree in biological sciences at University of Nebraska-Lincoln. During this time, he also worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant. He then went on to earn his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at College of Saint Mary in Omaha.

As he’s grown and gone through life, one key piece of advice has helped guide him: “La vida aprieta pero no ahoga.” This advice – given to him frequently by his grandmother, mom and dad – has helped him remember that life’s challenges can be hard, but they won’t keep him down.

A self-proclaimed nerd, Daniel has a wide range of interests outside of work. For example, he would love to be able to speak more languages than just Spanish and English. Together with his fiancee, he enjoys taking out their dogs, watching movies and TV shows, having game nights with friends and traveling. He’s also a soccer enthusiast and plays every week.
