Dominate Diabetes

Dominate Diabetes classes are taught by Karen McClelland, BSN, RN, CDE, Diabetes Education and Nutrition Services Manager.

Classes are on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Livestock Exchange Health Campus and are offered in English and Spanish.

During this program, participants will learn and discuss the following information:

  • Terminology – What is diabetes, insulin, blood sugar, A1c and more
  • Exercise benefits
  • Nutrition
  • Coping skills
  • Goal setting
  • Medication and treatment options
  • Foot care

    • Participants must be OneWorld patients and have either Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes. We encourage you to bring a family member or friend to help build an educated support system at no additional cost. Guests must be 18 years or older.
